On January 28 2002, Cindee Carr, a Sun Java 2 Certified Developer will present “How to get certified.” The presentation will be at cesc of Greenville, formally IKON Education, on Key Drive. What happened to the Special Interest Groups?

A lot of members are might be wondering what happened to our special interest groups or study groups? We had some problems with the both groups. The advance group we didn’t have anyone skilled enough to lead the project. I’m currently working on this and hope to have some good news for everyone interested in the Advanced Group.

Since I’m currently searching for a job, I’ve haven’t had the time I need to prepare the “Thinking in Java”/Certification Study Group. After the next, I plan pull everyone interested in this study group together for few minutes, so we can get this Study Group/SIG back up and running.

Do you think you have perfect idea for a guest speaker?

Or would you like to be a guest speaker for the Upstate Java User Group? If you or your company has an either an interesting experience or product that relates to using Java give me a buzz. If there is a new technology or person that you’d like for us to invite to the User Group, let me know so we can try to schedule presentation.
